The National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) Research Foundation and Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO), with funding support from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), developed the following guide to facilitate improved collaboration, communication and partnerships among the nation’s metropolitan planning organizations, rural transportation planning organizations, state departments of transportation and other entities. To date, little national research has been conducted on the partnership efforts of MPOs and RPOs. This report aims to help enhance that discussion. View PDF
